Well, today has been a rather defeating day. I've posted about them before but we brought 3 rescue hens home in October to discover they had mites. Treated with poultry dust (they are separate from my flock) and all seemed to be going well. I check my flock weekly and all seemed good.
Fast forward today, two of my original four have mites. Everyone is being treated with Elector PSP, coops being cleaned out and hosed down. All going okay there. Big thank you to @azygous for answering my questions!
Thyme, my prettiest pullet, is a mess. Her poor bum was so dirty, scabby, and generally sad looking. I had sprayed her but then decided she needed a bath. She's currently finishing up drying on my lap as I type this but her butt really looks sore. Any recommendations/other things I should be concerned about? I'll be spraying her butt with Elector again shortly. Sorry for the wet butt pictures.
