Thanks to Irene passing by we have dead new baby sea turtles and unmatched eggs on our beaches.
I love sea turtles. I'm so sorry to read this. Devastating for them.
Is there anyway to save any of them?
Quote:It is illegal to touch the hatchlings, eggs or nesting sites.
Aren't there people that can come and save them? Rehabbers? This just breaks my heart
Sea world usually does stuff with them as does FWC (fish and game), as of this morning there were still 12 foot waves, so hopefully some can be saved.
This makes me worried that the ones in N.C. are in danger.
My DD spent alot of her vacation last week observing the nesting sites.
She was convinced they were gonna hatch right in front of her eyes.
The lady at Fort Fisher aquaraium said they should be hatching very soon.
i love baby turtles.i hope a BYC member would come bail me out becuase there is no way i could not help save them.
I'll help post bail!!!
while i love sea turtles (they are so gracefull) this is mother nature at work, her way of balancing everything out, ever if it seems like a sad way
