Safe automatic door?

Any automatic door out there with NO risk of killing chickens? I keep seeing horror reviews. I don’t care about a super solid seal. In fact, happy to make my own that works with the existing clunky door! I just don’t want anyone to be squashed. Would love input. Thank you!

I hope you find what you are looking for.
I don’t have an automatic door, I actually leave the pop door open because my run is predator proof (other than a bear but only electricity will keep a bear away).

I have not installed it yet, but have purchased an omlet door. I liked that it opens sideways so there is no risk of the door becoming a guillotine. It also has a sensor that will stop closing the door if it senses an object in its path.

I just saw a thread about how an automatic door killed their rooster. I think that cured it for me. I don't want one. :idunno
That’s where I was at! We actually ended up buying and installing a ChickenGuard brand one yesterday and it worked great. I bought one without a door because or door works fine, we have a secure run so it’s just for extra peace of mind. It doesn’t need an airtight closure. Anyway, feeling good about it so far! We went out and watched it close like an event. 😂 It was super slow and knowing the weight of our door, they couldn’t get stuck under.
