Sally is over protective.

Sally is a mother of one baby chick
but if any chicken get's close to her baby
she will pluck a feather out of them.
How can I make her stop?

It sounds like she's just being a mom. The other chickens are a huge threat to her baby. One step and they could accidentally kill the little thing. i'm no expert but i would say she is jsut letting the other chickens know not to mess with her baby.

That is right, the mommy is suppose to protect her chick...the big ones could start pecking the baby and they would kill it. The others will learn to run.
