i have 2 salmon faverolle chicks (bought as pullets from hatchery) As day old chicks, one had a small dark patch on back between the wings. Now, at 2 weeks old, that chicks tail feathers are black (or at least dark brown) The wing feathers are tan, but the other chicks wings are more of a creamy color. Much lighter. Any chance I may have got a roo? I would not opposed to that. I have 12 chickens and all female. *i can get better pics if needed

I looked again and we are starting to feather on the back and sides. Here are more pics. Those feathers look pretty dark to me...And the poor things leg feathers look awful. They are clean, just at this awkward growth.

Looks like two pullets to me. Hatchery Salmon Favorelles are well known for being off colored. Especially pullets being to dark patterned.
