how much salt per gallon of water when brining birds?and how long should I let the birds soak???
I use a half a cup of Kosher salt for a large cooler of chickens. I keep them in iced water for two days then I bag them. I really like Kosher salt for brining. I mix it into solution befor I pour it into make sure it is dissolved.
