hi from Kemptville, near Ottawa, Ontario,

Our family is excited about getting a dozen or so chickens next spring .... we're building a 5 x 8 mobile coop (Quaker style with saltbox roof) this winter and would love to hear suggestions and stories from those of you who have gone this route. We'll have five window and a vent that can be opened and closed.
What is the best wheel package? I've seen comments in this forum referencing Horizon Structures' wheel package, which seems similar to that used by Adirondack Storage Barns ... but has anyone actually used this kind of pneumatic wheel kit with an axel and steering handle? At over $375, it's pricey, but if it were strong and capable of pulling the rig, I'd be tempted to go that way.

Looking forward to hearing, sharing with the hen-pecked and pecker community.

Glenn

from the Finger Lakes of New York! Looks like you are just north of us. So glad to have you aboard. There is a whole section on coop building, designs, etc.
