I'm having trouble finding the chicks I want in my area.

I want 2 or 3 silkie chicks and I cannot find them anywhere.

I thought about ordering some, but there is a $25.00 min for Ideal. To tell the truth, I don't want to spend that much, and I don't need that many chicks.

I have called the closest TSC to me (an hour away) and they are getting chicks this week, but they don't know when or what kind.

Anyone have any advice? Anyone in my area?

Why do they have to be so addictive?[IMG]

How far is Ideal hatchery from San Antonio? I thought it was located a bit north of there, but I'm not sure of the distance. You could always drive there and pick out your own. [IMG]

Quote:I thought of that, the hatchery is 2 and 1/2 hours away. We have been traveling back and forth to New Mexico to visit my stepkids about every 2 weeks, since December. I for one, am tired of road trips.

Then again, it may be worth a pair of silkies.[IMG]

[IMG] have you checked Craigslist? Sometimes there are people selling on there.

I adore silkies, even better when rescuing them from places like TSC. [IMG] I lucked out and was able to get a couple at Atwoods (store like TSC).

Quote:I saw some ppl selling other kinds, I'm thinking I may call them and ask where to get silkies, just in case.

    I feel like a giant pest.[IMG]
