Hi been admiring BYC for awhile now. Any new threads on the resurgence of the bird flu issue? My biggest concert are the wild birds that fly into the pen frequently. Not sure best way to keep them out since it's about 50' x 50' area. Scarecrow?

Out to pasture
Some folks are using mesh around their fencing, and also as run cover to keep wild birds away from their flock. I doubt that is possible to cover your run. Could you fashion a smaller run till the outbreak has passed?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! 50 x 50 is a big area to try and cover. Great idea from drumstick to male somewhere smaller that you could cover untill things are safe. A scare crow could be a good idea to keep them away.

Wishing you the very best of luck and hope you enjoy BYC :frow

Thanks all. It may come to penning them in a run for a while. Still looking into scarecrow. Wish my pluthera of cats were trainable.
