"Sandy" Eggs

    One of my RIR's is laying eggs with sandy particles stuck to it. They wash off, and they appear to be the same material as the shell. Should I be worried; are the eggs safe to eat?

    I believe it's extra calcium build up. The eggs are safe to eat.
