Sapphire gem pullet or cockerel?

Was sold to me as a pullet, we thought they were just a runt. Tail fathers came out in 2s instead of giant clumps. Doesn’t seem interested in the pecking order. Now I think I see some hints of barring…? They’re 5.5 weeks old. My last flock was all BO’s, so I don’t have any experience with anything barred, let alone a sapphire gem.

Pullet the way the feathers grow have nothing to do with gender. I don't see any barring if it had it you should probably have seen it a lot earlier and that also means it would be a male if it had barring (which it's definitely a pullet)

The jouvenile feathers came in barred, but they did on my other SG, which looks nothing like this one, and is definitively female IMO
