Anyone know about these?
I raise Satinettes They have big personalities. I have the old classic style, which can still feed their kids.
O yeah I read that they couldn't feed because of the short beaks
Here is a pic I found.
It looks like this one would be unable to feed its young?
Yes, those are the "modern" show type. They require foster parents to feed the kids. Old Classic (also called Old style, old fashioned, etc) Oriental Frills look the same but have beaks long enough to feed their kids efficiently.
How do they eat without a beak?
They do have a beak It's just very small. They can eat just fine, it's just the babies cannot eat from their parents.
I think when i moove out I will have an avairy just full of pigeons!
I like the classic frills myself, not the modern show kind. Just a personal preference. I have a classic Oriental frill through Danny Joe (colorpigeons.com), and couldn't be happier. He is a bluette. He is also a total clown, and can't fly very well. Love his personality! MaryofExeter has awesome frills.
