Would you consider Sav-a-Chick supplements safe to add to the water all the time? Or just periodically? Thanks!

I wouldn't use any supplement for healthy birds. Anything can be toxic if overdone, including some vitamins and electrolytes. To me they are for a sick bird, short term. Organic ACV is evidently safe even if always added, and it helps keep the algae under control, about a tsp to Tbsp per gallon. Gives them a little probiotic and is said to have other benefits. I often read that people add it once a wekk; maybe that is even more sensible.
