Hi, we recently moved to savoy, IL. Is here anyone from there? I wanted to know the local law/ordinance regarding backyard chicken here. Also, how to approach to start on the base of your experience. If anyone can shed some light on it, that'll be really great! thanks in advance.

Hi there! I am not in Savoy, but I’ve been there. You’re less than an hour driving time away from me. I’m unsure about the chicken rules there, and honestly when I did my own google search of the zoning laws of Savoy I couldn’t find an answer.

I’m sure if you contacted the village of Savoy someone would be able to answer that for you, or at least point you towards someone who could. Here’s their website: https://www.savoy.illinois.gov/
