My dad sells lumber for a living and he asked me the other day if I could use saw dust on the flooring of my chicken coop because he has TONS of it. I told him I didn't know but I would find out from you great people before he went through the trouble of bringing it to my house. So yay or nay??????

Nay - sawdust is too dusty and can lead to respiratory disorders. Shavings are OK.
