I have acquires a new chicken with a severe case of Scaley lag mites and have been doing a veg oil dip daily for the last 8 days. The majority of her legs are 90% improved. However, she started with a cream colored hard growth on the upper back part of her leg and it has not gotten smaller. It has change colour to black as well. Additionally, she had two deformed toes (bulbous black growths on tips of toes instead of nails) which also have not changed. I am wondering if these are just permanent scarring or something else. I have attached a before photo to show, this growth is now blackish. Thank in advance for any help.[IMG]

It looks like things are looking up. We have treated her with veg oil dips for two weeks now and her legs are looking great. We gave her legs a good soapy soak and the toe bulbous turned out to just be caked on poop. And the large cream coloured growth..we easily scraped 95% off. All the leg tissue underneath looks healthy. We will continue to dip for another week and see if we can scrap off the remaining bits then.[IMG]
