Scaly Leg Mites?

I have eight hens, and out of all of them one has what looks like raised scales on only one foot. And she does this weird thing where she opens her mouth and shakes her head but doesn't make a noise...
If she had scaly leg mites wouldn't it be on ALL the chickens and BOTH of her legs?

Hmmmm.... that's a real puzzler, I've never seen anything like that before. Have you tried any treatments, either localized or general?
 
My EE's legs and feet look like that, sne I don't think she has any mites. Sometimes the outer layers of the scales will come off, kind of like dead skin. There doesn't seem to be any extra "litter" sticking to your hen's leg(s) so I'm guessing it is probably normal dinosaur chicken feet.

I don't know anything about the head-shaking thing though. Have you tried looking down her throat to see if you can see something in there?
