Hi,
My big rooster has had a swollen foot for ages, making him limp. Ive given him foot baths with epsolm salts, but it doesn't seem to be working. It is actually swollen the leg up to the knee. Ive attached pics. Please let me know of you think it is mites or bumblefoot. Thanks

Can you take him to a vet?

I agree it looks like he has Bumblefoot. It's hard to tell about the scales, but it won't hurt to slather some oil on the scales after you have soaked his feet.

The whole leg being swollen like that, I would worry that infection has spread, so seeking vet care would be a good idea.

Took him to the vet. She said foot is Bumblefoot. Red leg and red bald stomach is likely due to his weight, he is 7kg and 2 years old.
Glad you were able to see the vet. Did she treat the bumblefoot?
What breed is your rooster - is he a meat bird? 7kg? So he's 15.4 pounds?!
Did the vet check to see if he's got fluid in the belly by any chance?

Thx. He’s definitely a meat bird so I guess he’s living on borrowed time at 2 years. She gave me the strongest antibiotics I am allowed to give him. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst.
Well, you've done pretty well keeping him alive for 2 years!
I hope the antibiotics help and you see improvement.
Please keep us posted.

Thx for the replies. I will ring the vets and see if I can get him in soon. I removed 2 small black scabs too.
