    Hi - I am working on a project for school (getting my teaching degree- almost done) and for one class I have to create an alphabet book. OF COURSE mine is going to be chicken themed!

    Problem - I need words for the letters "K", "Q" and "X"

    Preferably something I can catch in a picture [IMG]

    Thanks for the help!

    Kite...with a chicken
    Queen...holding an egg or chick with the crown...it's the queen.
    X....box with eggs inside...

    I know...kinda dull, but will keep thinking... [IMG]

    Someone had a really cute photoshopped pic of a chick w/ a crown...that could be the queen. [IMG]

    The words need to be ones that can go with a unit I do on hatching eggs for city kids who migt know nothing about chickens.

    Might do the box - that would work well.

    Thanks for helping me out here.

    awsome - that is a great idea! I had feather as one of my "f" words but I could focus on the actual "quill" part!

    What do you guys think of zygote for "z"?

    "Cluck" is spelled with a "c" (English teacher here...).

    What grade level is the book supposed to be for? "Zygote" might be a bit much for, say, lower el... [IMG]

    X = nestboX

    K = pecKing order, hacKles, sicKles

    Q = Quill (I second that suggestion...)

    What about K - Key West chickens. Bet they don't know there are wild chickens in the United States! I didn't know until I started coming here.
