Yahoo! I ended up finding a TRIO of Bourbon Reds - almost six months old for only $20 each! Oh my LIFE is good! He ended up having too many and needing to move - so I scored big time!. Heck, the Tom is butchering weight and the hens are close. Lucky for them they're breeding stock.

They're quite sweet natured birds if a bit shy now. And wow, gorgeous. They're getting used to things and have stopped flighting around every time I'm too near. Turkeys are something I've never done before. I'm totally taken with them. They're gentle, they make neat noises and they've actually got very pretty eyes. [IMG]

I can see that turning into an addiction. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

All right FINE! ANOTHER addiction. [IMG]

They're from a breeder so they're hardy and from two separate lines so I don't have to worry for awhile about inbreeding. I wish I'd had a bigger building and more money. He had another hen and LOTS more toms.

Oh well, next year I'll have more turkeys. [IMG]
