scovies and geese

So I have kind of a strange duck question.

I know that its possible for scovies and regular ducks to breed and the result is a mix that is not fertile.

I have been reading everywhere that scovies are more related to geese than they are ducks. So is it possible for muscovys and geese to breed?

They can mate, but they cannot produce offspring.
