Scratch and peck??

hey got another question again...

my baby chicks seem to be scratching at the wood chips down to the news paper i layed on the bottem then they are pecking at it any reasons why??

Totally normal chicken behavior! They are doing what comes natural: scratching, pecking, and looking for food...even if you have food in a dish, they still do this!

I like to throw in some chopped up grapes and watch them grab and run and they make the cutest little clucking sound because they are so proud of their find!

wow never knew that thought i was missing something... im definetly gonna have to try the chopped up grapes idea!! my chicks are so energetic as it is theyd be the happiest little birds of all time lol!!
