Scratching a turkeys behind

After taking care of turkeys for a while I have noticed that scratching their behind makes them scratch themselves. I'm not sure why they do it and can't seem to find an explanation. Does anyone know why?

Kind of like dogs, you've found their sweet spot. Could also be lice, check for eggs attached to the feathers and they will be crawling around on the skin, kind of clear/yellow colored.
