the person that suggested screws and washers for attaching the hardware clothe to the run frame. THANK YOU!!!

It is working wonderfully! Now if we could just stop getting thunderstorms so we could get it all DONE!

If you have an air compressor with an air gun stapler that shoots 3/4 inch staples, that works well and really fast too!

I put hardware cloth on my closed in section of my run (8 x 10 area) by myselft up to the roof level in about 30 minutes that way and the coons try almost every night to find a way in without success. Good stuff.

They sell screws with bigger heads which work very well for 1/4 inch hardware cloth. Keystonepaul

I agree Rhett&SarahsMom! I also found that if you get a carriage bolt and nut and a locking washer and 2 of the big fender washers, you can "button up" a difficult spot where two pieces of hardware cloth join. Its my 11 year old son's job to screw in those big fender washers. He is going to be busy 'cause we just started on our run!

Wraith2626, if I had to start all over again, maybe I would get one of those. My hands ache some nights from too much staple gun during the day.

Roofing nails and bottle caps work good too. But, I guess I am dating myself, because now that I think about it, drinks don't come with that type of cap now do they?

I have two boxes of extra screws from another project. So I just bought washers to "fit" those.
Only thing I am now wishing for is a CORDED drill. We have two cordless ones and they just do not have the power that I want. To me it is like going from driving either my Silverado or my 69 Camaro(both which are now gone) to driving a 4 cylinder. Just not enough power there.

We did get back out and do some more work after the storms passed through.
