I have a couple of roo seabrights that appear to be developing rose or pea combs, is this typical?

Oh good... I kept seeing pictures of Seabrights with single combs and got a bit worried. [IMG]

Beautiful! Mine are golden seabrights, I've two males and one female. The males are just starting to get their combs.

What kind of goodies do you have in the suet cage shown in the picture?

Quote:That was my first "chicken cookies" experiment. A handful each of uncooked oats, layer crumbles, gamebird mix, raisins, chopped pumpkin, black oil sunflower seed, a couple Banty eggs as a binder...

Skip (doc_gonzo) came home after I had pulled it out of the oven and was wondering where desert was.[IMG] [IMG]

Quote:[IMG] That's hilarious! Did the chickens appreciate the cookies? I've been wanting to try something like that myself.

The chickens absolutely loved it! I just use whatever goodies/left-overs I have handy so the recipe is always different. Variety is the spice of life, right?! [IMG]
