Im hoping the front one is a hen ? any ideas on what kind they might be ?
Maybe ISA browns? I'm not sure. Thinking all roos though. Where'd ya get them?
i got them from the local tractor supply store they were straight run
Look like cockerels
Weird. These do all look like cockerels. On the other hand, they have the classic coloring of red sex link females. Usually the red color with white at the tail means red sex link?? Red sex link males would be mostly white with red splashes (instead of mostly red with a bit of white). Production reds would look similar, but they usually don't have white??
If these were my chickens, I'd hang on to them until they laid an egg or crowed.
I'd say all roos usually straight run birds will turn out to be roos.
Yes, that is the typical coloring for RSL hens but knowing TSC they are probably mixes or second generation RSLs. How old are the birds @Goidenoider ?
there a little ove4 months old " General Tso" started crowing a few weeks ago but the other two have not. I don't know if they will all crow or just the dominant one.
Those combs/wattles are so big and the tails feathers and body stature looks completely like a cockerel to me.
