See my tiny egg?

    This very tiny egg came from a young white silkie. In the pictures it is next to a regular sized brown egg, the same silkies regular sized egg and a quarter for reference. After I got some good pictures and had to crack it open and see what was inside. It had mostly white with a little bubble that was yellowish but not a yolk.

    It was a neat little egg and gave us something to talk about that evening.

    One time I got a egg that size from my Rhode Island Red. I wonder what makes them lay eggs that small.

    It's just one of those things. She is a very young hen and she hasn't been laying a whole month yet. My guess her body is still getting regulated.
