1 year old Icelandic Roo

Dominant Rooster. Very active. Very good with the hens.

He started acting lethargic yesterday. Last evening he was tail down and head pulled in. Picture standing below.

I separated into his own small dog crate. He did not move from where I laid him by morning and wouldn’t stand.

This afternoon he was still laying in the same spot. His manure is yellow. See pic before I cleaned him up.

His comb is purple/blackish, we had very cold weather last night, but his head was tucked in. Not sure what is darkening the comb. Before I separated him, a few hens gave him some small wounds on the comb.

Cocci?

The decline was very rapid. He is separated now, but concerned about my other birds.

I brought him inside. He is now having what appears to be seizures. He is laying flat on and then will tense up and seize a bit. His head and neck are thrown back and his wings sit out a bit.

Seems a series of them every 5-10 minutes and then calm for a longer period.

He vocalizes irregularly when doing this.

Is this an impacted crop? I can feel what I think is scratch grains. He had No feed for about 24 hours. He was also a bit smelly when I opened him up.
