I have a 7 w/o Rouen and she started having seizures a couple days ago. We’ve tried epsom salt, ACV was started today, they get brewers yeast added to their food. Went to the vet today & he gave her a keppra shot along with selenium saying it could either be a nutritional deficiency or congenital disorder. I mentioned she started having green stools today & he responded with well it could be a bacterial or viral infection. No blood work, no antibiotics & 5-6 seizures since her getting the anti-epileptic med. I’m terrified and just want to see her better and feeling a little wary of this vet (new guy for us as our last avian vet retired) this is our first year with chicks and ducks and I don’t know what else I can

She’s barely eating so it’s been 96% water when she goes.

I do have a food scale but it’s a small one, and I recently gave away the baby scale I had. Her seizures have typically been worse at night. Today she had 3 hours between them where last night she was having 7 within an hour time frame while I was awake. She doesn’t seem to have any when we give her swim time in the tub

My rouen had issues before she passed. Was lethargic at times. What I think are seizures now that I think ab it. But it always calmed down w some pedialyte. And she was back to normal. I notice now looking back at pictures when we got her her color was a lot brighter. She looked healthier and when she passed she looked sick. It could’ve been that she was growing in feathers. But she looked like she wasn’t right. She looked too tiny and skinny to me. Best of luck to you. I hope your baby is okay. My rouen was also crested. So that could’ve played a big part In her declining health

Can you weigh her?

I weighed her this morning she’s 805g so Aprox 1.12 lbs. gave her the first oral dose of the seizure meds and it’s chicken flavor? She did have a different color stool this morning, thankfully seizure activity was down some
