just got a possibly self blue cochin chick from a Murray McMurray 4-h chick order and a black or possibly mottled cochin that is three weeks old from valley farms hatchery. so excited to start breeding for self blue. i had a self blue Belgian bearded D'Anvers that just passed yesterday:hit

This is an 11 week old Lavender LF Cochin from Privett hatchery. Roo or pullet?
At 11 weeks, that's a pullet (which I'm sure you've since figured out!!). Im happy to see your pics, i grabbed the only self blue in a cochin variety at our local feed store ordered from Privetts. I also got a frizzle blue. Do you have any more recent pics of your blue?? Id love to see how it turned out 😍

I have a light blue chick, mom is blue copper maran

and this green egg rooster with NN/frizzle in his back ground. So far his chicks are not either, but this chick has picked up the blue...
