    Right here on BYC....

How many dozen eggs are you trying to get? Start with how many dozen eggs you want to sell each week.... I will try to help you from there.

I have 14 hens and I get anywhere from 9-13 eggs per day, mostly 10.

You also need to figure that your location is going to make a difference for how many eggs you'll get each day because of weather. I was getting nearly an egg a day from my ladies this spring (12-13 from 15 birds) but when it got hot it dropped down to half that many. It picked back up when the temps dipped below 95 regularly and late fall last year I didn't get ANY eggs for two months because they were all molting.
