Selling Eggs

Would love to hear suggestions on selling eggs. I have way more than I need. Going to start selling from home first. I live in the Northwoods of WI. Any suggestions would be great, want to make the process as easy as possible. Thanks! Look forward to hearing your responses.

My wife takes our extras to work and sells them to coworkers and customers. Anywhere from one to six dozen a week.
A few of our friends occasionally buy a dozen or two.
When I do have more than I can sell I give a dozen to neighbors within earshot of the rooster crows. I rotate which neighbors get eggs but the closest ones get more.

Word of mouth is best. Craigslist, post a sale ad anywhere there's a notice board.

I say I'm like your friendly local crack dealer.....the first dozen's free. Once they're hooked, they're all mine!

We sell ours to $3.00 in town, and what we have left over we take to church on Sunday and sell for $2.00. The weeks worth will be gone on Sunday.


Feed cost for eggs run about $2.00 on average, we use recycle cartons.
