how much can you get out of a muscovy duckln
I sold 2 last year for 5.00 a piece. over9 yrs ago I paid 7 each for my first 3. You can probably go higher just keep it within reason.
I wish I could find some that reasonably priced. They aren't very popular in my area so I have a hard time finding day olds for less than 12 a piece.
You can order them from meyer hatchery. I got a catalog from them and the prices were very reasonable around $5.83 ( assorted) to $10.83 ( chocolate). Of course you'll have to pay for shipping which is fair. I ordered my ducks before from Metzer and they were great, but they don't have muscovies. Meyer is the only one I know so far that carrys muscovy ducklings.
I was about to order the muscovy ducklings, then a neighbor reported me to the animal control, so now I'm selling all of my ducks for the next 3 weeks . I still have a crazy passion for raising ducks, but it's okay not to have them now, since I have too many things going on at the moment. Anyway, good luck with buying your muscovies. Here in my area, muscovy ducklings are selling for $15/ each. I bought adult muscovies at the feed store for $20 a piece. There are some people selling month old muscovy ducklings for $8- 12/each, but those need to drive about one hour to get there.
Do you happen to know the minimum order for Muscovies there? I wasn't aware that they sold scovies especially the chocolates.
Sorry to hear about your neighbor troubles.
Just looked at the catalog. For ducks, minimum order is 3, but the shipping will be expensive > $40. If you order from 10 the price will be less for each ducklings and the shipping will be just over $10. For my address in california, it's cheap for shipping ( and also a dozen of states), but I can see the shipping can get expensive in some other states.
That's not too bad. Thanks for the info! I'll have to look into them more.
