Hi! I have adopted 2 rooster serama bantams from a lady that did not want to keep anymore boys, they are so awesome! I know they are 5 months old, but we also adopted 2 hens as well from someone else and the guy said they were about 5 months old. They have not layed any eggs yet, and I was wondering if there was a way to see "about" how old they might be...I'm hoping they are young like he said and not older girls since we would like to have a few babies :) The roosters are right there with them and I have not noticed the hens "squatting" when they get near, I don't know if that is something to watch out for, I know with our GLW they have been doing the squat when we walk by lol.
Thanks!
Toni

Sometimes hens will lay later, depending on several factors. :) If they are squatting that is a good sign.
