Serema question

    Has anyone ever mated a serema roo and stadard hens?
    How big are the chicks?

    I don't think the serama could mount the hens. That would be kinda wierd.

    Oh I thought you were going to put him with them and actually try to breed them. It could probably work [​IMG]. I don't really know what the chicks would look like.

    I think mostly you would get middle chickens but why would you wamt to do that?

    It's not that I am intentionally breeding them but they all freerange and he (the serma) is the new top roo in the hen house. I was thinking about letting one of the hens set and was just wondering if anyone has had the experience of hatching serma/standard crosses.

    I'm getting a Serama too and would be curious as to what you get. I hope you post pics later if you do it. I would be interested to see what you get

    That would be interesting in what they turn out to be.

    I don't have a Serema but my OEG banty has no problem with my huge silkie mix. She's a good 3 times bigger than him. The hubby and I have both seen her lay down for him...haha. I haven't let her sit on any b/c her big brown grocery store size eggs go in the fridge:)

    I think the serama must be a class c to be able to mount any hen for that matter. Haha. Well, perhaps a bantam modern game is small enough but they are too tall! [​IMG]
