seriously dumb question

I bought 2 golden comets last week without really checking them out thoroughly. My son loved them so we got 'em. Anyway when we got home I found that both wings on both birds had been clipped really far back. Will these feathers grow back after molting, or are they gone for good?

They grow back. They were clipped to prevent flying. No question is dumb. Welcome to BYC.

I knew they were clipped so they couldn't fly, but I thought you only clipped one wing.
