Set 55 eggs April 14

After a very disappointing hatch 2 years ago I have finally got the itch and nerve to try again

It really is hard to lose a whole incubator full of chicks and not know what went wrong. Upon setting up for this hatch I discovered that my main thermometer that I trusted with my life had failed me.

So,two new thermometers,fingers crossed,I'm being very cautious but hopeful.

I always question what day is day 18,where I set them last night and it won't be a full day until 8pm tonight,do I start at today?

lol Has anyone else set eggs today?

I set some late Friday night. My automatic turner went on lock down late Tuesday night. Hope that helps.

I no how u feelThe same thing happened to me i had 14 egg and only 1 got down to peeping and then died shortly after not sure what happened but i just got some more eggs and set them in late saturday night

im setting 20 tommorow after a bad hatch 3 out of 11 some part developed some full term 3 chicks doing well

9/10 days old now! if i get it right hatch date should be 8th of may

last 3 hatched days 24/25 couldnt test humidity but ive now bought a hydrometer so here goes

Well day two and it wasn't good! Automatic egg turner quit on me!IPretty sure it was at least for 12 hours before I clued in.So first thing this morning my hubby took the back off the incubator to see what was wrong,it can't be fixed now. So the eggs were out of the incubator for a good 30 minutes! All those screws and then getting the trays level because it was stuck at a tilt.So now I'm turning the eggs by hand

So I hope that this hatch isn't doomed!! Anybody have eggs cool down and still hatch?

my temp dropped to 35c for a few days i got 3 hatch

Wow you were lucky! Everything looked good this morning,eggs are turned.Temp was 99.9 and humidity was 41....think I might bump that up a bit.
