Set eggs this morning. November 2, 2011

36 and someone is supposed to bring me 6 tomorrow morning. I marked all of last weeks O and this weeks N so I can make an informal survey on hatch success of the older vs. newer eggs. Some of them were so round I had trouble telling top from bottom. I'm going to try to candle tonight to make sure I have air spaces right on all.

I just also set a bunch of eggs on the 1st, were hatching amerucanas,marrans, and a like 6 batem mix. good luck keep me updated

Y'all are so lucky you can get all these fancy chickens. I'm jealous.(and my staff are absolutely astounded at the pictures I've shown them from here)

I looked into importing some day olds, but it's a $500 usd/100 chick minimum plus shipping (via plane)and duty. Too rich for my blood.
