Well I done it. Just set my first eggs. We will see. I have read a lot of information and am hoping for the best. I don't expect too much as they are older hens and some of the eggs look porous. Here's to hoping and I will keep it updated

Good luck! I just set & hatched my first eggs this month too. Did a lot of research before starting and that really helped me. Some of my eggs were porous and they hatched just fine [IMG]

    What breeds are you hatching?

I watched my first chick hatch today and I can't tell you how exciting that is. I am sure you all will love it too. The last 24 hours is very hard but worth the wait.

I set the eggs last Friday at 9 am, started counting on Sat, correct?, so today is day 5 and I am now seeing veining on the ones that I candled and even on the oldest one.
