So I want to move my muscovie hen and drake from the corner of the dog yard to a pastured set up and I had this in mind. A 10' x 10' x 5' wooden pen covered with welded wire, including a gabled roof. Part of the roof and one end would be covered with tarp (maybe half of the roof, one north facing end, and about 3 or 4 feet on each side). A nest box would be mounted low to the ground so that when I moved the pen the box would ride along. A contractor's tub would provide water. Would a roost make sense? Is this enough shelter. Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
