Setting Eggs gone!!!

I have tried to post to this forum but I don't think my post ever went through- if so then I am sorry to post this again. I have hen that is setting on 4 eggs and my husband said I could also add to the 4 with eggs that had just been laid. I added 2 yesterday and today they are gone!!! Would Hen know they weren't hers and eat them or did something just happen to get 2 of the 6 eggs!!! I was very surprise!!!

Are you sure she is broody?

And yes, hens will eat eggs. Their own and others.

Something else will eat them too. Snakes will slide in under a hen and eat eggs.

Yes -she is on nest all the time-and guess I will just watch and see - they can really eat their own without any signs of shells or anything?

Yep. Every last slurp of yolk and every piece of shell.
