Three weeks ago I decided to see if any of MY eggs were fertile instead of buying them...I have two roosters but have never seen them near the hens. I selected all blue/green eggs from the two EE's I have and put them in the bator. When I tried to candle them, they were so dense that I really couldn't see anything. Kept treating them like they were good and they were due to hatch today.
Last evening when I got home there was a little chick running around the bator. Four more were pipped. By morning I had three more and by three o'clock this afternoon all seven had hatched!
I have a Brinsea mini and it only holds seven eggs. All seven are doing fine! YaaaaaY!
