    Hi all,

Anyone care to take a guess at the sex and breed of my 12 week old goose? My best guess (and hope! [IMG]) is female African, but I'm a big ole goose newbie. If this pic is no good, let me know what you need to see and I can snap another.

    Thanks
    Nicole

Either a Brown Chinese or an African. I am not sure about gender though. [IMG]

Quote:That's what I thought. I had a lone Chinese goose for a whole year before a coyote got it, and I was never certain of his gender. [IMG] I am pretty sure he was a gander though, based on the way he would chase of the male ducks when they tried to breed with the girl duckies. [IMG] ......I miss Goo Goo [IMG] . All this talk reminds me of how great he really was!(He was abandoned, and we rescued him last summer.)

I'd say african as well, it looks too 'heavy' to be a chinese. I don't know about gender, I'd wait till it gets the knob on it's beak.
