    thank you all I am so pleased I was sure it was a rooster and would have to get rid of him.
    Was sold to me as a pure bred Ameraucana

    Definitely Easter Egger (hatcheries call them Ameraucanas, but they're not purebred ameraucanas), but I'm not seeing the hen part. [​IMG] I think it's a boy.

    It was from a breeder not a hatchery although it doesn't matter to me
    She was my first ever hatch and was born 2 days early on my birthday
    no less so I really want to keep her

    Definitely looks like an "easter egger" aka "ameracauna" to me!

    How old is it? the tail looks roosterish but the hackle feathers arent pointy!
