I have BR or BSL packing peanuts, and was thinking of keeping one of them to keep with my 5 RIR pullets. If it is a BSL, will it still produce sex-link babies? I figure with the roo being barred, it should still work. Am I right?

I can't say that would be right or not. The bsl roo is barred but he also is carrying the red gene. You might get some red birds and black and barred. You can always try it one or two hatches and see what you get.

To make a black sexlink, you would need a barred hen with a red roo, either RIR or NHR.

OK Thanks! We'll just eat them all then.
