Sex of my chicks?

Thanks everybody. I know I should just return him but he's so friendly

everyone here keeps telling me to just wait...

Waiting just makes it harder. Cockerels are almost always enjoyable because they are precocious and outgoing. But that cockerel will become a very large rooster when he grows up and it doesn't take long. Sorry you must part with him, but the sooner the better, really. Just being honest here.

No I agree...of we r gonna get rid of him sooner is better...we've also had the other debate...eat him, but I can't find a place in seattle to do it for me and I don't know I can... I think it's responsible to learn... Just unsure I can actually do it myself. :-/

I have never gone hunting but as a kid was around when my dad brought deer, geese, ducks home. I'd go watch while they gutted and cleaned. I'm just not sure i could actually slit the neck of something I've feed and housed for months.
He would be tasty.

So we gave him back in the end. He was already trying to crow by 8 weeks :( he was so pretty I wish I could have kept him.
