Sex of my Speckled Sussex???

Would really like to keep this bird. S/he is so pretty!
Is it a roo??? I am just learning and I am inclined to say it is. Let me know what you think. Its life depends on it!!!!

Speckled Sussex can be tricky as youngsters. Males generally have a much whiter chest than the females. I would wait a bit longer, but my first inclination is rooster.

That is what I was afraid of! I had two but one died while I was away w/ my daughter (she had a baby) and DH thinks it may have gotten squashed by the others. Was hoping one was a hen...wellll....if not, I can still check around to see if there are any available and otherwise I will wait until next year.
