I have two peachicks (Aspen and Delta) that are about 2 months old and I have no clue how to tell the gender. I have never owned Peafowl before and must say it’s been an awesome experience! They have so much personality and will even fly onto my shoulders. They’re both friendly, but do peck at fingers a lot! They both fan, but one does it a little more than the other. I got them when I had a broody hen I was hoping would hatch and raise them along with some other chicks. She ended up not accepting them, I walked down the next morning to see Aspen had a huge open wound on her head from being pecked. I raised them after that. The peck injury took a long time to heal, which is why Aspen doesn’t have much of a crest on the top of her head (I say her but have no idea what she actually is) they’re both happy and healthy and now I’m just hoping I have one boy and one girl and that you guys can help me out! I can take more pictures if these aren’t good enough to tell. They also both have some green feathers coming in on their necks.

BTW you can also check out the "Peafowl forum," on BYC. Just scroll down the forums above until you come to Peafowl. That's your stop.

Thanks guys!! And okay, I’ll definitely do that next time. I’ve googled questions about peafowl before and it always took me to this page, I just never noticed it was under a different forum. Both females, or one female and one male would be fine either way. I was just hoping I didn’t have two males. Here’s a couple more pictures of their backs and Aspen’s chest. Is that how you tell? I read something about barring on males too, Delta looks like he has a lot of that and Aspen might have a little bit
