Are they both the same breed? Size doesn't really mean that much, as far gender goes.

There could well be a bit of size difference there with those breeds.
The thing I'm not sure about, is whether that combination could produce sex-linked chicks.
@SilverBirds might know more.

They all look like pullets but the males of this cross are white and the females are red. Unless I’m missing something the reds should be your only pullets.
