There are varying opinions as to what sex this bird is. It is a 5 month old Bronze blackshoulder. Some have suggested a Seipel hen or a spaulding hen. Any opinions?

ok you got a bs spalding hen.......not a Seipel.......could be bronze in color...i don't see any green feather in her neck to [prove she is not bronze

Note in your first pic ....the bird facing them one with his head little higher than the roost that is a bs spalding male...where did the birds come from ,if i can ask.......anyway spalding on both of those bs one male female bs could be bronze , charcoal, or cameo tell more as she colors out.

I hatched the birds this summer from my own flock. The parents of the Bronze bs came from Leggs peafowl. There is no doubt that it's bronze. It's just hard to get the colors to show up good without a little sunlight
